The National Library of Russia presents an international exhibition project "Incarnated Word. Calligraphy: Text and Image".

The purpose of the project is to show the world experience of modern calligraphy, the succession of national schools and the correlation of cultures. The works of the artists illustrate the development of tradition and innovative artistic solutions. The exhibition combines the works of established masters of calligraphy and the results of the educational process "Master to Student” that broadcasts timeless artistic values of the written word. The exposition will include the works of students of George and Nina Kozubova’s children's calligraphy school, the works of Peter Chobitko’s "From Az to Izhitsa" school of calligraphy teachers and the works of Dmitry Petrovsky’s students. The second volume of the textbook "Visible Verb" (by Dmitry Petrovsky) will be presented during the exhibition. The sculptures of Andrey Mishin "Biblical stories in images and texts" (calligraphy by Apollinariya Mishina) form a special section of the exhibition project "Incarnated Word". During the exhibition, theoretical courses and practical workshops on calligraphy will be held for children and adults. Curators of the exhibition are Andrey and Apollinariya Mishina
